Design challenge
Re-design a pneumatic compression valve in order to reduce the manufacturing cost without deviating the design language of the valve being robust and precise.

Design solution
The hand wheel which moved the actuator up and down in order to open or close the valve, was a big wheel situated on top of the actuator of the original design. Which was replaced by a screw and nut system which was incorporated into the yolk (the main frame) which functioned like a car jack system.
The different positions of the actuator imply if the valve is open or closed to control the out flow through the valve.
When the valve is completely open
When the valve is half open
When the valve is completely shut
